Momma Bear was inspired by all the fierce mommas amongst us. Whether you’re a grizzly or a human, the instinct to protect your young is strong. She began a quest to do something different in the background, more mellow and calm. I wanted her to stand out and not the environment.

Collage paper paintings are created with many layers of acrylic paint, hand-painted paper, old book pages, pencils, markers, and other mark making tools. They are all unique one-of-a-kind pieces. Momma Bear was created on a panel board surface. Similar to a canvas however, it is more stable than a canvas and provides a solid surface for applying many layers. This collage is finished with a semi-gloss varnish, which should reduce UV color damage. Signed, titled and wired on the backside and ready to hang on the wall without a frame. Sides are continuation of the collage. Frame is not included.
