The background of this painting is abstract rather than realistic. A variety of blues and greens are used to imply water and other river life. The fish is a Brook Trout with enhanced colors. The Brook Trout is found swimming in Colorado streams and rivers.

Collage paper paintings are created with many layers of acrylic paint, hand-painted paper, old book pages, pencils, markers, and other mark making tools. They are all unique one-of-a-kind pieces. Brook Trout was created on a panel board surface. Similar to a canvas however, it is more stable than a canvas and provides a solid surface for applying many layers. This collage is finished with a semi gloss varnish, which should reduce UV color damage. Signed, titled and wired on the backside and ready to hang on the wall without a frame. Sides are continuation of the collage. Frame is not included.
