This is a paper painted collage of a Brown Trout. Browns are a species of trout that are found swimming in the streams and lakes of Colorado. This image is made entirely of paper. In the background, there are a variety of blues and greens to imply a river while the trout itself is made of colorful pieces to enhance the natural coloring of the trout.

Collage paper paintings are created with many layers of acrylic paint, hand-painted paper, old book pages, pencils, markers, and other mark making tools. They are all unique one-of-a-kind pieces. Brown Trout was created on a panel board surface. Similar to a canvas however, it is more stable than a canvas and provides a solid surface for applying many layers. This collage is finished with a semi-gloss varnish, which should reduce UV color damage. Signed, titled and wired on the backside and ready to hang on the wall without a frame. Sides are continuation of the collage. Frame is not included.
